Curiosity Kills the Cat

August 26th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Web Hosting

It is true curiosity really does kill the cat! However, being informed will help put you on top and could save you hundreds of dollars.  The purpose of the article is to help guide you in the process of find the best web hosting to meet your needs.

Introduction:

I think is extremely important to start off saying by that I am not associated with any web host or hosting company.  I am a professional web hosting research guide and work for AlreadyHosting.com, an unbiased and honest web hosting review site.

Web Hosting Companies Are Not Created Equally:

Contrary to what you may believe all web hosting companies are different. Pricing, customer support, server speed, bonuses, and much, much, more all define host good a web hosting site really is.  Many individuals assume that big name web hosting sites such as GoDaddy provide the best web hosting, in fact many individuals reading this article may even have their website hosted with GoDaddy.  GoDaddy is a reliable host but it is also gives you “less bang for the buck” than other web hosting sites.

If You Are Paying over $4.95/Month For Web Hosting, You Are Over Paying!

The fastest growing web hosting site on the internet is HostMonster.com. Why are they the fastest growing web host?  HostMonster offers unlimited bandwidth and disk space for only $4.95/mo.  You cannot beat that price! For roughly $5 a month you can have your very own website that could be generating thousands of dollars in monthly revenue.

Get Informed:

Believe it or not there are thousands of web hosting sites that are looking to give you some big sales pitch about why they have the greatest product and then forget about you once you purchase their plan.  It is essential to be informed about web hosting; go to websites such as the one I work for and read unbiased web hosting reviews, you will not regret it!

Curiosity Kills The Cat:

Being informed makes the cat wealthy! If you are looking for web hosting don’t be fooled into purchasing from the first web host that you see in a search engine.  In order to help you get started I have provided links to my personal favorite web hosting site; explore the sites for your self and see if you approve of their product.

Top 2 Web Hosting Sites:

HostMonster - $4.95 Web Hosting. (I personally host with HostMonster)

HostGator - $4.95 Web Hosting

What Do You Known as "bum Marketing” Cheapest Way to Begin Affiliate Marketing?

August 10th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Marketing

One of the first things most experienced online business owners learn, when we learned how to make money online, was how to make money with affiliate marketing. This is a great way to start because you don’t need to come up with your own product or pay for and then test a sales page–it’s all done for you!

The absolute cheapest way to begin affiliate marketing is what is known as “bum marketing.” for more detail. All you really need is the ability to write a basic article–or rewrite inexpensive private label rights material–and work with an easy content management system like Word Press.

So how to do you make money with affiliate marketing, using this low-cost to no-cost affiliate marketing strategy?

First, you need a website or at least a blog in your chosen niche. You can buy a domain name at Namecheap.com for less than $10 a year, and hosting at Hostgator.com for under $10 a month.

Make sure your domain name is keyword rich. If you can’t find YourKeyPhrase.com, try separating the words with hyphens. Use for more detail. If that doesn’t work, see if you can get a .net or .org name. You can also get .info names for considerably cheaper costs per year.

Now, write about 10 pages worth of content for that site. Focus each page on a specific long-tail keyphrase within your niche.

What’s a long-tail keyphrase? It’s one of the ultra-specific but less searched for keyword phrases within each niche market. These phrases have less competition, yet are more highly targeted toward buyers–just what you need as a beginner. (Don’t worry. You can also focus on higher-traffic keywords once your site has really been up and running. Right now, though, it’s best to go for the long-tail traffic.)

At the top and bottom of each web page put an affiliate link to a niche product. You don’t have to even mention the name of the product in your content–in fact, it’s often best if you don’t. You’re not trying to sell with your content. Sales writing is a time-consuming process that you don’t need to worry about. The product owners have likely paid thousands of dollars for someone to write their products’ sales pages.

Instead, you want to hit on emotional hot-buttons for you keyphrases. This will help pre-sell your affiliate products (you should have at least three of them) by getting your readers revved up about their niche problems or concerns.

Now, you’ll want to write and submit one or two articles a day, every day, to Ezinearticles.com. Target both your long-tail and high-traffic niche keyword phrases for these articles. This is where the bulk of your traffic will come from.

Finally, make sure you have an appropriate author bio-box at the end of each article. You’ll want to tell a little about yourself (or your pseudonym) and your website. Link various boxes back to various pages on your website, using link-text that matches the targeted phrase for each page.

Surfing With Sharks

Publicly exploitable vulnerabilities with Internet Explorer are far more common than many security people would like. The recently discovered VML arbitrary code execution flaw is probably one of the more serious issues to come to light in recent months. Based on a vulnerability in a core component of Internet Explorer, the vulnerability allows attackers to run code of their choice on victim’s systems, provided that they can be tricked into viewing malicious content.

This critical step in the process has unfortunately been made much easier in recent days. When exploitation of the issue was first discovered, it was primarily adult websites that were using it to install malware on the systems of visitors. Similar to how the WMF exploitation at the start of the year progressed, VML exploitation took a recent nasty turn. Hosting provider, HostGator, was compromised through what is believed to be a previously unknown cPanel vulnerability and client websites were being redirected to sites that exploited the VML vulnerability – thus infecting systems. In this case, site visitors could be visiting legitimate, trusted websites but end up on a page that is busy installing malicious content. Anecdotal evidence suggests that exploitation is much broader than is being reported by Microsoft and major security providers.

Although there have been a number of serious problems in cPanel over recent months, the most recent issue to be disclosed is a privilege escalation vulnerability that has been reported in the last couple of days. Assuming that this is the issue exploited to take control of HostGator’s servers, then this is something that a lot of hosting providers and site administrators need to be very aware of. The very popular site management tool normally installs into known locations, and it doesn’t take long to discover whether a site is using cPanel to manage it. To effectively use a privilege escalation exploit, it is necessary to gain access to a legitimate user account, so it would be prudent to ensure that all cPanel administrators and users are using strong passwords. Operators of sites on shared servers need to be aware that the compromise of an account belonging to another site can lead to damage of theirs. cPanel developers have since released an update to the issue, which affects all versions of the software.

Initial response to the VML issue suggested that disabling JavaScript support would be sufficient to protect against exploitation. As exploit samples progressed, it was noticed that this step was not enough – exploits were working even though scripting support had been disabled. Until Microsoft are able to release a patch (believed that is going to be made available with the October security patch release on October 10), the best advice for most users is to use an alternate browser. Advanced users can deregister the affected DLL, though this has a risk of causing further damage to a system if the user gets it wrong, and it prevents legitimate use of functions the DLL supports.

Users who are more adventurous might want to check out a patch released by the Zero Day Emergency Response Team (ZERT), the same group that provided an early patch for the WMF vulnerability from earlier this year. There is still great concern, as public exploit samples have recently been released that provide a means to attack Windows XP SP2 systems, where previous samples have only been available for Windows XP SP1.

Two Guerilla Tactics for Landing a New Job

July 27th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Career Management

Unemployment numbers are looking pretty bleak. Everyday the news seems to bring

more stories of large and small companies alike laying off thousands of workers. As of this writing in January 2009 we are looking at a pretty tight job market. I saw a newswire story about a job fair for one company held in suburban Detroit. Four thousand people showed up for the one day event. I know due to the downturn in automotive sales that their region is hurting, but the job outlook seems to be pretty bleak just about everywhere. In this kind ofcompetitive market, what can one due to stand out among all the other jobseekers? Here are 2 job hunting strategies that will make you stand out.

(1) Your own website. Everyone puts their resume on line now, and so everyone has an email address and maybe a profile page at the large job posting portals. You should be using Facebook and Myspace to network in your industry, but not everybody has their own website. I think this is especially important if you are looking for any type of technical work. I would suggest you get a  dot com domain name that includes your own name in it. Like bobsmithaccountant.com or technicalwriterbillgates.com Anything that includes your name. Get your name if it is available. Go to someplace like godaddy.com to purchase a domain name. Go someplace like hostgator.com for a cheap hosting account. There a a lot of tutorials about buying domains and c panel hosting on line. Twenty dollars will get you going. Use 1 of the millions of templates available and learn how to customize it a little. Hire an inexpensive web designer if you can afford it. Instead of the usual pages found in a business website, you can have a pages for education, accomplishments, your family life, goals, work history…anything that might tell a potential employer about you. Tailor your web design to the type of job you are looking for. An engineer will want their site to look clean and functional. A floral designer will want a more artistic design. Then you can plaster your web name everywhere on line that allows a link. Include it on your resume and Read the next strategy here.

(2) Send a useful item with your name and or domain name on it to prospective employers. This is like personal advertising. I am stealing a page from the advertising industry here. Millions of businesses advertise themselves by putting their names on matchbooks, pens, calenders, shoe horns, key chains, hats, mouse pads, almost any item you can think of. I think this works best on a local level. Let’s say you are  a jewelry salesman looking for a job. Buy customized eye loupes or diamond tweezers or polishing cloths with your name, number and job title printed on them. Include your website address if you followed step 1 above. Then simply stop by every jewelry store in your area, ask for the manager, introduce yourself and leave the gifts and your resume. Easy.

If you are a SAP Trainer, or other software professional, mouse pads work very well. You need to tailor the items you are dropping off to the industry, but pens and mouse pads work almost anywhere. Are you a landscaper? How about work gloves with a little label sewn to it? I can think of dozens of items for almost any type of job.  If you don’t have the bucks, how about a $5 pizza with your resume taped to it. Drop it off at lunch time. I bet they read your resume. These are just 2 ideas to help get your creative juices flowing. Now get out there and get that job!

What Exactly is Web Hosting? and What Should I Choose? - the Best Web Hosting Guide for Beginners!

July 2nd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Web Hosting

When you create a website you must host it on a server so that the website can be available on the internet. This is where web hosting comes in. Web hosting is a service that provides individuals or organizations with online systems for storing images, videos, information or any other content accessible on the internet.

There are plenty of web hosting companies that provide Web hosting and they range from Free hosting to Dedicated Hosting. Here we are going to discuss some different types of hosting that are provided by Web hosting companies.

Free Hosting

If you want to host a personal web site you can choose to host it for free. There are plenty of free hosts who will host your website for free. They will usually give you space in a directory under their domain, for example: thecompanysite.com/yoursite. I don’t recommend free hosting though especially if you are looking forward to make money from your site. Web hosting companies that provide free hosting won’t provide your hosting totally for free. They will put banners on your site to advertise their companies. By having banners on your site that are not related to your content you will lose a lot of visitors.

Shared Hosting

Shared web hosting allows you to host your website using a domain name that you own, for example: yoursite.com. You will be given a certain amount of bandwidth and diskspace on the server, however there are some few companies that allow you to have unlimited bandwidth and discspace (Recommendations are at the end of this article). This will give you a professional look to your Web site, which is much better than free hosting.

Dedicated Server Hosting

Dedicated server is the one where you rent the use of a whole machine. This can be used to host one or more of your websites. Since you are renting the use of a machine, you have total control over the software that will be installed on the machine. A major benefit of this kind of hosting is that this allows increased traffic to your sites. .

Reseller Web Hosting

A reseller is a company or individual that purchases goods from another company and sells them at a higher price to another company or to other customers. Reseller web hosting plans allow you to be the web hosting company of yourself. Most web hosting companies themselves have a web hosting company who host their server. Some web hosting companies provide a service where small companies can resell web space on their servers for a small fee.

Web Hosting Platforms

Windows

Microsoft’s solution to Web Hosting, Windows, is becoming popular with Web developers with its powerful ASP and ASP.NET programming options. It also integrates well with .NET server technologies such as Commerce Server 2002, SQL Server 2000  and others. Recent advances in Windows Server technology and the release of the Windows 2003 Server provides what is now arguably the highest performance server environment. It provides exceptional support for the developer community and has a single vendor commitment to its ongoing development.

Unix

Unix is the traditionally the operating system of choice. It has been around a long time and some say it is the most reliable. Unix systems are less user-friendly than Windows systems. If you are developing a simple Web site, this should not be a problem, since your only access to the Unix server will be via FTP to upload your site. However, if you are developing an advanced site you will need to become more familiar with Unix commands.

My personal recommendation

I’ve been into the internet business for some time now and I own over 50 domains. About half of them are developed websites and I host them all with Hostgator

Why?

Simple. This web hosting company has the best prices and benefits around. Allow me to demonstrate.

$4.95 monthly- Host one website with UNLIMITED Diskspace and Bandwidth. You will also benefit by receiveing free templates scripts and other stuff.

$7.95 monthly - Host an UNLIMITED number of websites with UNLIMITED Diskspace and Bandwidth. More free stuff is available than the one before.

NOTE: Very few companies allow you to have unlimited diskspace and bandwidth. The ones that do will definitley ask you for a higher price.

Needless to say they have 24/7 good customer support and very good and dedicated servers.

June 1st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Marketing

There are lots of teenagers who want to be self independent and want to earn money online so that they can fulfill their wishes. The purpose of this report is to show you how you can earn a lot of money on autopilot. You don’t have to do anything which requires lot of work. The method I am going to show you below involves investing little amount of money as low as $15, This you would require for this work:

1) A Web Hosting Account

2) A Domain

If you already have both things listed above you don’t need to invest a single penny! You can get web hosting from hostgator for as low as $0.01 a month using coupon code: wordpress and a domain from namecheap for $8.81 using coupon: happy2009

I hope you enjoy this report and stay subscribed to my blog, because we would be bringing more reports like these, I’m sure you don’t wanna miss them, Do you?

By staying subscribed to my blog you would get updates about the posts and more reports I write by email which we won’t be sharing publicly.. There’s lot do gain and nothing to loose, so go ahead and get subscribed if you haven’t done so.

Taking Action

A’ight, Lets start now..

I have already told you that you would require a Web Hosting Account and a Domain to make this method work. Okay now once you have both things ready you need to upload wordpress to your hosting account, If you bought hosting with hostgator you can install wordpress with a click of a mouse :) by just going to cPanel -> Fantastico -> Wordpress If your hosting provider doesn’t provide fantastico you can download wordpress from wordpress.org

Now once you have installed wordpress, Think of a niche and complete rest of the installation, Once you get everything ready its time to setup automation, In this method we will be grabbing posts from RSS, So find a good RSS source using a RSS Directory.

The Duplicate Content Myth

A lot of people here would raise a question that duplicate content is bad and results in a penalty from search engines, You might have seen on few forums people fighting over this issue, We’ll thats a myth and many webmasters have proven it.

You can get articles from article directory or directly from other’s blog directly.

I’ve myself tested this method before writing this report and I’d like to share results with you guys..

I bought a .com domain and chose health as my niche, I took from good RSS links from RSS directories. I decided to go with Adsense and after installing google ads on my blog it was ready, It was updating itself and around 5 articles were being added to the blog everyday.. First two days I got nothing then I started to get impressions and clicks on my google ads, and within a week I was able to make $17 from the blog. $17 in 7 days a’int that bad after all everything is on autopilot! :D

Okay, so coming back to our main topic again.. Once you have everything ready you just need to install a good and professional theme to your blog and couple of plugins

1) WP-O-Matic - This is the main plugin, it will help you grab posts from RSS links which you will provide and will post them on your blog! You will have to setup a cron-job in your cpanel for this plugin to work, but if you get stuck you can use Feed Wordpress which will make it more easier.

2) GoCodes - GoCodes is a plugin to redirect common phrases to affiliate links (for example, on a weight loss blog, you could redirect how to lose weight to a product like Fat Loss 4 Idiots) So you can use this to link phrases to your affiliate links :)

3) Google XML Sitemap - You can use this plugin to make a sitemap of all urls on your blog then submit it to Google Webmaster Tools, so that google can keep a track of all urls in your blog and index them.

Lastly, Change your permlink to common structure /%postname%/ and finally update your .htacess file.

Next step is the ping list and the RSS feed directory submissions.

You can submit your own RSS feed of the blog to a List of 50 RSS Directory so that you can get more traffic and you can get indexed in search engines quickly.

Now, Go to Wordpress Admin –> Settings –> Writting and copy this ping list there
